Philippine Prudential awarded the Superbrand Seal of Excellence

Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. (Philippine Prudential), the leader in innovation and growth in the life insurance industry in the country, has once again been awarded by Superbrand Marketing International, Inc. (SMI) its prestigious Superbrand Seal of Excellence. Thus, Philippine Prudential remains to be the only life insurance company to be given this distinction, which the Company has now held for three consecutive times – for the 2009-2010, 2011-2012 awarding periods and, presently, for the 2013-2014 awarding period. SMI Chairman Karl McLean and President and CEO Harry Tambuatco formally conferred this during a recent courtesy call on Philippine Prudential President and CEO Gregorio D. Mercado and Chief Operations Officer Daniel D. Mercado III at the Philippine Prudential Home Office in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Superbrands is the international independent authority and arbiter on branding. The organization promotes the discipline of branding and pays tribute to exceptional brands through programs in over 88 countries across four continents, with over 10,000 participating brands including the Philippines and now further into South Asia.
