Dooc joined Philippine Prudential Senior Executives to formally open the sales office at the Mezzanine of the Pacific Centre Building along Quintin Paredes Street.

Philippine Prudential, the industry leader in innovation and growth, recently awarded the latest winner of its “Bakasyon Grande” promotion, which is now on its third run.  The formal awarding and turn-over was held at the Company’s Sales and Marketing Office in Makati City.

The winner of the Trip to Macau and Php 20,000.00 pocket money, Ms. Maricar G. Verano, was approached at the Philippine Prudential’s branch in SM North EDSA by a Company representative and subsequently invited for a product presentation.  As with other prospective clients, Ms. Verano was not required to make any purchase in order to qualify for the raffle.

Apart from “Bakasyon Grande,” Philippine Prudential also has other ongoing promotions with prizes such as a Brand New Car at stake for individuals who attend the Company’s product presentations.

Philippine Prudential, the industry leader in innovation and growth, recently celebrated its Golden Anniversary at the Isla Ballroom of the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel in Mandaluyong City.  The star-studded occasion’s main highlights included this year’s Corporate Service Awards, the launch of the Company’s New Anthem and the staging of a world-class Musical Production entitled “Gintong Alaala” which starred noted stage actors Tom Rodriguez and Kayla Rivera.  The latter also co-hosted the event with veteran multimedia personality Edu Manzano.  With this 50^th Year milestone, Philippine Prudential reaffirmed its passionate commitment to serve and protect the Filipino for another 50 years and beyond.

Mr. Raymond D. Masilang, a seaman from Rosario, Batangas, went to SM Fairview to run an errand when he was approached by a Philippine Prudential representative and subsequently invited for a product presentation.  As with other prospective clients, Mr. Masilang was not required to make any purchase in order to qualify for the raffle.

On becoming the latest winner of a brand new Honda City, Mr. Masilang said he was at first shocked but grateful to the Company.  “Hindi ako makapaniwala.  Itong blessing na ito, hindi ko makakalimutan. (I could not believe my luck. I will never forget having been given this blessing.)”

Atty. Ramon S. Untalan is appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Legal and Compliance.  Atty. Untalan’s 20-year work experience encompasses legal management and counseling, project planning and implementation, and financial analysis.  He began his career as a Financial Analyst – Corporate Planning and Finance for Bancom Realty Corporation, then went on to handle Legal Services for such companies as Union Bank of the Philippines, Logboat, Inc., AsiaTrust Development Bank and AIC Realty Corporation, where he was also Vice President.  Atty, Untalan completed his pre-law studies at the University of Sto. Tomas, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.  He earned his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law in 1984.

Ms. Beverly G. Gascon moves up to Vice President as she continues to head the Company’s Information Services Division (ISD).  Ms. Gascon has over 16 years of professional experience in the field of Information Technology.  Before joining Philippine Prudential in 2009 as Assistant Vice President of ISD, she served as a Project Manager for various companies, including SkyCable, where she handled all phases of systems development – from data gathering to testing, transition and implementation.  Ms. Gascon graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, where she also taught computer literacy, programming, computer systems organization, and data structures.  She is also a certified Genesys Developer.

Ms. Corina C. Cabognason is promoted to Assistant Vice President even as she remains Head of the Company’s Human Resources Department.  With over 15 years of work experience in the life insurance industry, Ms. Cabognason continues to lend her expertise in employee services and employee relations and welfare.  She started her career at Fortune Life, first as Personnel Assistant then, later, as Personnel Supervisor.  Ms. Cabognason holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from De la Salle University and pursued Masteral studies in HR Management at the University of Sto. Tomas.

Mr. Leoncio M. Quiming Jr. is now Assistant Vice President of Group Sales.  With over 16 years of experience in various fields, such as sales & marketing, training, and customer services, Mr. Quiming’s extensive background spans a number of insurance firms.  These include: Insular Life Health Care Inc., where he served as both an Account Executive and Trainer: Anchor Insurance Brokerage Corporation, where he helped to increase new business in their open market accounts by 100%; and Taishan Insurance Brokers Phils., Inc., where he achieved a 70% annual growth rate in newly acquired businesses.  A healthcare professional, he worked briefly as a private duty nurse at the Makati Medical Center.
